• Ambassador program gets the chamber closer to its people

After three decades, the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce’s ambassador program keeps showing its impact, one relationship at a time. Employing a mixture of warmth and community know-how, a group of chamber members sign up as volunteers to strengthen the tight bonds between the chamber and its members. The ambassadors have become a treasure trove for the chamber, a lineup of knowledgeable experts who champion our community and build meaningful connections with members.
Ambassador Karen Norlin with Caliber Home Mortgage described the ambassadors as cheerleaders for the chamber and for businesses in general. Since they work so closely with businesses, ambassadors learn about members and offer ways the chamber can support them.
Those seeking to join the ambassador team will encounter kind, generous people poised to meet the Valley’s business community, said Ambassador Jessi Mendoza of Numerica Credit Union. “It just keeps our entrepreneurial spirit alive,” Mendoza said. “It’s exciting to be a part of.”
Ambassadors embody the chamber’s mission and vision of an improved quality of life, a vibrant business climate and sound community leadership, by attending events, inviting businesses to join and networking with fellow business people.
Ryley DeChenne, a two-year ambassador and a loan officer assistant with Evergreen Home Loans, says she “expected to make new, long-lasting connections with local community members and affiliates and the ambassador program has done exactly that.”
Networking goes beyond the business benefits, as the ambassadors’ pursuit of a meaningful connection with members helps build strong relationships that sit at the core of what the chamber is about.
