Dolco Packaging, a Tekni-Plex company, recently celebrated its parent company’s 50^th anniversary at its Wenatchee, Washington, facility.
 
The Wenatchee plant opened in 1966, as Dolco Packaging’s first manufacturing location.  Dolco was purchased by Tekni-Plex in 1996.
 
“We are proud of our long heritage as an employer in the Wenatchee Valley, where we currently employ 130 local residents. Our commitment to integrity, service innovation and manufacturing excellence began in 1966 when we became the first U.S. company to produce foam egg cartons.  Since then, we have expanded our manufacturing capability to include many different foodservice and food packaging items, such as foam apple and pear trays. We are pleased to have contributed to the region’s economic growth for the past five decades,” said Shaun McGuire, plant manager.
 
Dolco supplies its products to some of the most recognizable names in the food industry. The company is also known for its ability to engineer a wide variety of custom PS packaging solutions for food and industry applications.
