Chamber offers fourth year of Careers After School

Careers After School™, a program that educates students grades 6-12 about a variety of career paths through hands-on learning, returns later this month for the fourth consecutive year. The Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce developed this program in partnership with the Wenatchee School District and this year, it’s being sponsored by Wenatchee Valley College Foundation.

Careers After School - First Responders

A mock car crash scene will be the center of the Careers After School: First Responders event on Thursday, May 9, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Eastmont Community Church,783 4th St. NE East Wenatchee. Police, fire, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), dispatchers and other emergency medical services professionals respond to emergency situations such as heart attacks, head injuries, car accidents, fires, and crime scenes. They do what is necessary to stabilize and transport patients via an ambulance or by helicopter
