A class presented by Wenatchee Valley Dispute Resolution Center (WVDRC) Whether it is in the workplace or at home, communication with colleagues, friends, or loved ones sometimes provokes strong emotions and erroneous perceptions. Learning how to be objective and empathic when approaching conversations takes practice and understanding of emotional triggers. Based on the components of the Nonviolent Communication (NVC) model developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, this class offers insight into understanding needs and feelings and growing our emotion vocabulary. Participants will have opportunities to practice communication skills and empathy.
