Name: Governor's Summit on Career Connected Learning
    Date: May 31, 2017
    Time: 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM PDT
    Event Description:

There will be 740,000 job openings over the next five years in Washington State.  Washington's young people deserve an education that prepares them to take part in our economy, and real world, hands-on career connected learning is a key part of this preparation.

You are invited to join the regional hosting site for the 2017 Governor’s Summit on Career Connected Learning and be a part of the discussion on career-realted opportunities for Washington's youth.  As a group, participants will virtually join a general session on policy recommendations including remarks from the Governor. Business and community leaders will learn about career-connected learning successes, identify new skills, find additional resources, and develop the capacity to solve workforce problems.

In June, you'll be invited to a follow-up discussion with our local education leaders and business partners and see the STEM Academy at Rocky Reach Dam.
