Printed materials will be mailed. #1: MARCH 5-7 and #2: MARCH 20-21 Daily 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The Wenatchee Valley Dispute Resolution Center (WVDRC) is offering a Resolution Washington and Washington Mediation Association-approved 40-hour Basic Mediation Training (BMT) course in Spring 2021 in collaboration with the Dispute Resolution Center of Tri-Cities. The WVDRC offers this course for anyone who: • Is interested in becoming a certified volunteer mediator with the WVDRC. • Wants to learn more effective ways to deal with conflict at work, at home, or in the classroom. • Is in the legal, counseling, human resources, or education field and needs relevant professional training. The BMT course teaches the process of mediation, communication skills, and conflict dynamics to promote peaceful and constructive approaches to conflict and its resolution, whether in the workplace, home, or in our community. Trainees who have completed the BMT course are eligible to begin a mediation practicum to become a certified volunteer mediator with the WVDRC. Training is approved for 40 Clock Hours for educators. CLE & ethics for attorneys pending.

Course materials are provided. The registration fee is $500 per person. For groups of 3 or more persons from the same organization, registration is $400 per individual.
