Annual Banquet

Early each year, the Chamber holds a themed gala-style banquet complete with lavishly decorated tables, silent auction, social hour, and raffle. This event draws over 500 guests ranging from small business employees and owners to CEOs and public officials. As well as the networking opportunities and the elaborately decorated tables, the event highlights are the celebrations of the Business and Non-profit of the Year awards.

2023 Business of the Year was awarded to Cordell, Neher & Company.

Managing member, Steven Neher accepted the Business of the Year award on behalf of the company. Opening remarks of “it’s tax season and accountant are tired this time of year. Little slower than normal.” drew a laugh from the crowd. Acknowledging the businesses and non-profits in the room and thanking everyone for “working with us, and allowing us to be a part of those efforts in making your organizations be successful.”  Finishing his remarks by showing gratitude for their team and to the community for the award.

2023 Non-Profit of the Year was awarded to TEAMS Learning Center.

Teacher Joy Roberts, Founder and Owner, accepted the Non-Profit of the Year award for the organization. “What an honor? Honor doesn’t even seem big enough for the overwhelming joy I feel right now.” Setting out on her journey 30 years ago to “change the world” in bringing the love of learning in a safe and welcoming center. Acknowledging the sacrifice that so many have given to help the program succeed is one reason TEAMS is where it is today. Teacher Joy acknowledged every individual in the audience that has been even a small part of bolstering TEAMS into who they are today from teachers, interns, governing board members, and the parents of students that have moved through their program. “Together we can make the world a better place.”
